Kathleen Mayne

Kathleen Mayne is a national award-winning classical composer living in Southern California. She graduated from the Conservatory of Music at the University of the Pacific, and later studied film composition and conducting with Ernest Gold.

In addition to playing piano, organ, and percussion, Kathleen has worked on many projects for soundtrack companies, the estates of film and concert composers, and has also provided music for documentaries about Universal's classic monster movies.

Besides reconstructing the music and preparing the scores and parts for the Monstrous Movie Music CD series, she has also conducted some of the music. To learn a little about film music reconstructions, click HERE.
